Grand Italian Tour

21 DAYS, 20 NIGHTS

Italy is a country bursting with history, gastronomic foodie locales, cultural sites, and pretty landscapes. Italy’s unique diversity of multiple city-states contribute to a wealth of once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

This 21 day Grand Tour of Italy will immediately immerse you in the beautiful Italian way of life, better known as ‘La Dolce Vita’ or ‘The Sweet Life.’ Experience all the best parts of Italy from the Venice canals to the Tuscan countryside to the battle cries of gladiators at Rome’s colosseum. We’ll take you to the top must-see destinations on the Italian peninsula. You’ll expand your cultural horizons to new lengths with this bucket list tour featuring ultra-exclusive activities.

We’ll begin our journey in the southern city of Napoli, visiting the well-preserved Roman city of Pompeii, the seaside cities of the Amalfi coast, and the luxurious islands of Ischia and Capri.

Next, we’ll head up to the seat of the Roman Empire, Rome. Experience the Roman Colosseum as few others have on the floor of the arena itself! Rome is not only the capital of Italy, but also home to the independent country and center of the Catholic Church, the Vatican City. Inside the seat of the Holy See, a  guide will take you on a one-of-a-kind tour of the Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel, minus the crowds.

Florence and the Tuscan countryside offer a region with deep cultural ties to Italy’s foundation. Here, we’ll walk down the Vasari corridor, the secret passageway of the Medici family over the Ponte Vecchio, and marvel at Michelangelo’s David. We’ll also stop by the nearby Tuscan wineries and see the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Continuing our trek north, we’ll arrive in style aboard a sailboat to the colorful fishing villages of Cinque Terre. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco or Champagne while basking in the Mediterranean sun. Our voyage will then take us through the gastronomic towns of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Parma to sample Aceto Balsamico de Modena, Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma.

Our next stop, the city of Milan, will bring us to a private viewing of Da Vinci’s Last Supper and a night at the opera in the famous La Scala Opera House. We’ll stop by Lake Como, the summer getaway of numerous celebrities, for an afternoon aperitivo.

In Venice, you’ll find a completely different facet to Italian culture with a gondola ride around the Venetian canals, a trip to the famous glass making island of Murano and fantastic seafood dishes.

A trip through Padua, Verona and Bergamo will take you through other key Italian cities where you’ll experience firsthand the city of Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet. Perhaps, you’ll find your own Romeo and Juliet along the way!

Your 21 day Grand Tour of the Italian Peninsula will wind down in Milan where we’re confident you won’t want to leave this gorgeous culture and country. Ciao Italia!
